About Ezra Ministries

It is our intention to mirror Ezra’s example in learning, practicing and sharing the Word of God with others.

Ezra Ministries was founded in April of 2005 for the purpose of following the command of Jesus to go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20 A, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you”.)

We believe that being a disciple of Jesus Christ is key to a believer’s personal spiritual growth and that making disciples is key to church growth.

What others have to say about us

To our friends far and wide, we would like to recommend Ezra Ministries, run by our friends, Caleb and Sophie Massey, to you! Ezra is a Bible Teaching (Discipleship) ministry. It also operates a Retreat Center, set in the serene Ozarks countryside. Whether you are a long term missionary, longing to rest and recover your strength, a pastor in need of a quiet place to take a break, or a regular Christian desiring some time to study God’s word, then Ezra Ministries can help you. There are no fees related to the fully furnished and equipped cabin. Donations are welcomed. Ezra Ministries and the newly opened Retreat Center comes Avilez tested and God approved! Thanks Caleb and Sophie! Been a great couple of days! We’ll definitely plan on staying longer next time!”

“What a great ministry!  After a long term on the mission field and a hectic few months on in the States, we were looking for a place to get away and rest.  We were so blessed by our time in the Ezra Ministries retreat cabin.  It’s a great place to stop for a time and recharge.  We spent time listening to God, caught up on rest, and even read a book.  An unexpected blessing was spending time with Christian, Erika, and the rest of the Ezra folks.  Their heart for God and passion for ministry were so encouraging.  We left the cabin refreshed, and look forward to returning again.  We highly recommend it to anyone in need of a place to be still.”
